With the sun up early and the prospects of fine weather for the weekend, the Naterjack BEC got underway, with the main riders away by 10am.
With David Knight absent due to commitments at the French World Championship, the event was left open for one of any of the top 5 riders being able to take a win.
Tom Sagar on his 450 Suzuki was to take the honours 17 seconds ahead of his nearest rival and teammate Paul Edmondson who is set to take the E1 championship to the final day of racing this year with Daryl Bolter who pulled back 7 minutes on the last to narrowly miss 2nd place by a total of .257 of a second.
Danny McCanny posted a well deserved 5th place on his first championship race with his younger 16 year old brother taking the honours easily in the experts on his first attempt at endure racing?
Stan Watt from Front Row GB had a good day finishing 2nd in class behind Tyson Maytom Jones on his 530 Husaberg
Tomorrow sees the end of the championship with E1 being the closest fought battle between Paul Eddy and Daryl Bolter.
